who we are looking for

We are looking for a part-time employee to join our team in Guelph, Ontario. As the Social Media Video Content Creator you will be joining a fun team of hard working & passionate individuals. The Social Media Video Content Creator will help tell our story by creating compelling video content for us throughout our social media and digital platforms. 

the day-to-day

• Capture high quality video content during photoshoots (product & styled interiors), within the retail store and offsite with the team.
• Develop relevant, visually compelling videos (reels, short clips, etc.)  for use on our social media platforms that engage with our target audience.
• Develop high quality clips for key product marketing launches that will be utilised on rugandweave.com
• Schedule video content into social management platforms.
• Constantly be learning and staying up to date on interior and product social media video content trends.
• Help develop social media video content that can be utilised for paid advertising.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Key Qualifications

• Exhibit a passion for beautiful, stylized spaces.
• Proficient in various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tiktok, Youtube).
• Proficient in Canva, Later and Photoshop/Lightroom (or other equivalent editing software).
• Creative, energetic and in-the-moment thinker that can easily direct people.
• Strong communication skills both written and oral. Excited at the chance to work in teams and collaborate.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• An outgoing, fun and vibrant personality that loves connecting with people.

Hours per week: 

10 – 20 hours per week
