Crafted through a distinctive strip-weaving technique, the Stitch rug showcases individual hand-woven wool sections that are meticulously joined together to form a complete area rug. Each strip is woven to approximately body width, allowing artisans to work with efficiency and creative autonomy. The intentionally varied strip lengths introduce organic irregularity and create a distinctive edge character while accommodating natural weaving variations. Layered with a nuanced two-tone neutral stripe pattern that shifts subtly throughout, this design delivers refined visual interest without sacrificing the understated elegance that defines contemporary wool rugs.

100% of the materials used to make this rug are natural, which means the colours and patterns in your rug will be slightly different from your friend’s, for example.

This rug was hand-woven in Northern India before finding its way to your floor. It’s tight weave makes it ideal for high traffic areas, and supporting chair feet or table legs. It’s not super soft or loose, so it won’t catch on anything or shed too much in your home.

Flatweaves are dense, durable, and resistant… even the light-weight ones. That means you’ll be happy together for quite some time, so long as you take care of each other. We can help you do that, with a few simple tips:

- feel confident about blotching spills with a damp cloth
- take a vacuum to it regularly
- if you see a loose yarn, resist the urge to pull! Simply snip off the excess with sharp scissors
