Kitchen Stories

Kitchen Stories
We've been taking a slower approach to life while spending time at home.
-
With more time indoors, we've been enjoying simple pleasures, like baking and seeing our family members smile and laugh over a table set with homemade tasty treats.

Together, we made Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies
-
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 to 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (we used fresh)
-
Directions
  1.  In a bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine oats, flour, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in the blueberries.
2.  Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 inch apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.

Kitchen Stories-
We cherish those small moments in the kitchen, a place where we create.
Coming together as a family to create in the kitchen is something we will always enjoy & we hope you can find some time to do the same!
